This is not a tour about the past.
It’s about the present that lives inside the past.

We’ll walk through Diocletian’s Palace and the Old Town—not to recite history, but to meet the people who carry it.

This tour is about the pulse of Split today, told through voices that rarely make it into the history books.

We’ll step into a working bakery, a filigree workshop where silver threads become heirlooms.
We’ll walk through streets where one of the oldest synagogues in Europe still stands.
We’ll pass the local Muslim community, where faith and daily life meet quietly.
And as we move, you’ll see Diocletian’s Palace for what it really is:
Not a monument but a neighbourhood.

This is a city that never stopped being lived in.
The stones are old, but the stories are ongoing.
  • Riva Harbor: We will meet in front of the iconic Split sign, where we’ll kick off our adventure with a photo to mark the start of our journey through the streets of this 1,700-year-old city.
  • Diocletian Palace Substructures: We will enter 1700 years old structure building still in use today. This is where the Game of Thrones was filmed
  • The Peristyle of Diocletian's Palace: Built in the 4th century as a retirement home for Roman Emperor Diocletian, the palace is now a vibrant part of Split's historic center. We'll pause here to take photos and soak in the myths and legends that define this remarkable site. But this tour is more than just a history lesson - it's a chance to experience the local culture and support the local community. We'll visit some of the palace's hidden corners and secret spots, where you can sample fresh produce from local vendors and even meet artisans who have been practicing their craft for generations.
  • One of the most beloved streets in Split, this is a place where we'll simply walk and take in the surroundings. Locals lean out their windows to enjoy the fresh air and hang their clothes to dry, adding to the vibrant life within the palace walls. Here, we'll learn the importance of pausing to observe the locals, appreciating the residents and their town to truly explore and understand its essence.
  • Grgur Ninski Statue: We will go to rub a toe of Gregory of Nin and hear why is his statue in Split
  • Narodni Trg: Traveling through time with different stories, we will arrive at Pjaca, the first square built outside the ancient city. This is a place where people fell in love, where you can spend an entire day simply people-watching. It is a hub of activism, alive and well in Split, and a beloved spot for daily walks. Here, we will learn about old trades and see traditional craftsmen at work in Split.
