About The Experience

Louvre Abu Dhabi is an open and inclusive museum. We celebrate stories of cultural connections to build understanding across cultures and reveal we have more in common than we know. Designed by the award-winning French architect, Jean Nouvel, Louvre Abu Dhabi is an impressive spectacle on water. Its legendary name says it all! Backed by loans from legendary museums like Musée du Louvre, Musée d’Orsay, and Centre Pompidou, Louvre Museum Abu Dhabi is a collaborative effort between the governments of Abu Dhabi and France.

Know Before You Go

Louvre Abu Dhabi is open from 10am to midnight. Galleries and exhibitions close at 6.30pm on weekdays and 8.30pm from Friday to Sunday. Dome, cafés and restaurants remain open until midnight Museum is closed on Monday. Timings are subject to change without prior notice. Last entry to the museum is 30 minutes prior to the closing time. All bookings are final. Tickets are non-refundable and non-exchangeable. Hand sanitizers are available throughout the museum. Touching the artworks is not allowed. Louvre Museum has a free app you can download to fully explore the artworks and navigate the museum. The Louvre Abu Dhabi is a universal museum in the Arab World. Universal in a sense that is focused on what unites us.

What To Bring

Government-issued photo ID must be provided on request as proof of age. The galleries are set at a relatively cool temperature to protect the installations. You might want to consider carrying something to warm you.
